August Around the Homestead

Hello again! It is August 2020 this summer has been hotter and more humid than usual, and without much rain. It is still quite warm and humid and we are finally getting some rain these last few days. Hurricane season is more active this year as well, and we lost another tree in the last big storm a few weeks ago.

Around this time, active families are starting to wind down the summer activities and getting ready for back-to-school, but most kids are not actually back at school this year, so it also feels like summer has been a bit extended. My son is doing all his classes this semester at RIC online!

Lot’s of people are sticking closer to home these days and life this summer has been quite a bit different. I have also spent most of my year at home, with very little outside entertainment, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been busy! And, I am back to work and loaded with hours for the holiday season.

I try to have fun in everything I do, and I have spent a lot of time gardening and doing projects around the house. The ensuing photos will give you and idea of what I have been up to.

We also took a quick trip up to New Hampshire to enjoy my birthday with a hike through the mountains and rivers up north.

I hope you enjoy the scenery!
